GRÁINNE CUFFE ~ All in the Fullness of Time - etching - 122 x 115 cm - TWO SOLD

Gráinne Cuffe, Fulbright Alumni and IFAA Board member, describes her work as being ‘loosely botanical’. Artist and printmaker, she works in the Graphic Studio, Dublin, and at her studio at home in Wicklow. Gráinne, a graduate of IADT and Central St. Martins, London, spent her Fulbright Scholarship at Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, where she successfully completed a Master Printers course. Now known for her meter square large etchings, her Fulbright trip gave her an opportunity to see large scale etchings by David Hockney, in LA, and an exhibition of James McNeill Whistler’s etchings in Boston Museum of Fine Arts, both extremely influential experiences.

EXHIBITIONS: Grainne shows regularly at Graphic Studio Gallery, Dublin, SO Gallery, Dublin, Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin and Royal Academy, London.

Gráinne had a one person show May 2104 at Graphic Studio Gallery, Dublin, and the Factory, Sligo June 2015.

COLLECTIONS: Chester Beatty Library, Arts Council Ireland, National Botanic Gardens, Dublin, Office of Public Works, University College Dublin, Dublin City University, University of Santa Cruz, California, University of Limerick, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, Royal Hospital, Donnybrook, Dublin, amongst other institutions.
